You might not have time to grab breakfast, but do you have time for heart disease? A new study shows that skipping the most important meal of the day may lead to higher “bad” LDL cholesterol and insulin resistance – both risk factors for heart disease. It may also lead to weight gain.
The study, published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, followed ten women and asked them to eat breakfast and a mid-morning snack for two weeks. The women then took a two-week break. After that , the women did not eat breakfast or a mid-morning snack for another two weeks.THE RESULTS?
When the women did not eat breakfast, they ate more during the day – about 100 calories more.
Not eating breakfast also impacted cholesterol – “bad” LDL cholesterol was 60 for breakfast eaters and 70 for those who skipped a morning meal. And total cholesterol was also affected – 121 mg/dL for breakfast eaters, compared with 133 for women who didn’t eat breakfast.
Eating breakfast also seemed to improve the way insulin works in the body, compared to not eating breakfast, leading researchers to believe breakfast may help lower diabetes risk.
Over time, not eating breakfast may influence heart disease risk, according to researchers, since both insulin and cholesterol levels influence risk.

Sarcopenia – chronic wasting
A deficit in lean body mass (muscles, organs, bones, etc.) is called sarcopenia. Energy is born in your muscles and other lean body mass. It is created to meet the needs of the day. People actually program their energy metabolism by their activity level. In other words, if you regularly expend a certain amount of energy every day, your body will start anticipating this. Your metabolism will create the lean body mass and produce the energy needed to meet the regular tasks of the day.
Energy requires fuel. A healthy person will have a hunger equivalent to their energy needs. The hunger ceases and you feel satisfied when nutrient levels – especially fats – have reached the general requirements for fuel anticipated by your body. Interestingly, in a healthy person certain cravings will direct their appetite to foods containing the nutrients they lack. Most of us have obliterated our delicate sense of taste with added salt and sugar. We have erased the ability of our body to communicate through cravings.

How the Member
Rewards Program works You earn VitaPoints with every purchase. As they accumulate, you can redeem them for free TriVita products. Check the chart to see how many VitaPoints you’ll get when you order your favorite products. If you order Sublingual B-12, for example, you’ll receive 20 points every time you order it. You’ll receive 40 points just by ordering the 2-Step Energy System.
If you send the c to a friend or family member, you’ll get free products sooner because we’ll reward you with SIX TIMES the number of VitaPoints. If you want to give our Antioxidant Complex to your aunt, you simply place the order with us and have us ship it. You’ll then receive 150 points.

Finding out how many
VitaPoints you have Your current VitaPoint balance appears on every invoice you receive with your order. That total shows the number of VitaPoints you’ve accumulated to date, not the points added in from the current order. You can also ask our Wellness Consultants when placing an order how many points you have and what you can redeem them for.
Redeeming VitaPoints is easy
When you’re ready to redeem your VitaPoints for FREE products, check out the Points Needed for Free Product column on the chart. If you want to try out a new product like VitaDaily AM/PM, for example, you’ll need just 300 points. You can redeem your points by adding the product to the order form and indicating how many VitaPoints you want to use.
Member Rewards Terms and Conditions
1.Your current point total is printed on your invoices.
2.VitaPoints are valid for 2 years from the date they are awarded, provided you have purchased within the last 12 months.
3.Standard shipping and handling rates apply to product orders redeemed with VitaPoints.
4.VitaPoints have no cash value. VitaPoints may not be purchased.
5.VitaPoints are non-transferable.
